Get in touch
What do you need?
Pick the closest one and we will point you at the fastest way to sort it. Most things are quicker by phone than by email — reception can see the diary in front of them.
Booking an appointment
HotDoc takes bookings around the clock, so you do not have to wait until we open. Choose your doctor and the appointment length there.
If nothing suitable shows online, or you need to be seen today, ring reception on (03) 8391 7025 — we keep walk-in capacity aside every day. Tell them roughly what it is about so they can set aside the right amount of time.
Changing or cancelling
Cancel through the same booking system you used to make the appointment, or ring reception. Cancelling costs nothing, however late it is — even fifteen minutes is usually enough for us to offer the slot to someone waiting.
Please do not use the form below to cancel. It is not monitored in real time and your appointment may pass before anyone reads it.
Test results
Results are discussed in a booked appointment rather than read out over the phone, so there is time to explain what they mean and what happens next. Book the follow-up when the test is ordered and it is already in the diary.
We will attempt to contact you about anything urgent. If you have had a test and heard nothing, please ring us rather than assuming all is well.
Repeat prescriptions
Book before you run out rather than on the last tablet. An appointment lets your GP review what you are taking and prescribe appropriately — it does not have to be a long one, and for stable medicines a telehealth consultation often works.
Electronic prescriptions are sent to your phone and can be filled at any pharmacy.
Fees, billing and accounts
Bulk billing is available to patients with a valid Medicare card. A small number of services sit outside Medicare and attract a fee — reception will tell you the amount before your appointment, so you are never surprised by a bill on the way out.
If you want to check what something costs before you book, ring reception and ask. They would much rather tell you beforehand.
Records, transfers and referrals
To transfer your records from another practice, ask reception for a transfer request and we will write to them. Transfers can take a few weeks, and some practices charge an administrative fee for the copy.
If you would like a copy of your own record, ask reception. Referrals to specialists are written in a consultation, so they need an appointment rather than a phone call.
Feedback, compliments and complaints
Whether you are paying a compliment or raising a problem, we would rather hear it. Feedback is how the practice improves. Raise it with reception, with our practice manager, or in writing using the form below, and give us the chance to put it right.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Health Complaints Commissioner (Victoria) on 1300 582 113, which is independent of this practice.
Something urgent
In an emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not wait and do not drive yourself.
If you need to be seen today and we are open, ring reception on (03) 8391 7025 rather than booking online — they can find you a slot that the booking system does not show.
When we are closed, call 13SICK National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25, or Healthdirect on 1800 022 222 for registered nurse advice at any hour.
