Dr Lakmal De Silva
Dr De Silva has been working as a fulltime General Practitioner for several years and has previous experience in Emergency medicine, Anesthesia and Intensive Care Units.
Dr De Silva main areas of interest are chronic disease management, chronic pain management, mental health and travel medicine. Dr De Silva is also a community prescriber for Hepatitis C and also a trained Q fever / Yellow fever vaccinator.
Dr De Silva has a wealth of experience and offers the following:
- Skin cancer diagnosis and management including surgical excision
- Minor surgical procedures
- Cervical screenings and Implanon insertions
- Mental health management planner with Dr Sivaruban from JAAS Psychiatry
Dr Ben Zeleke
Dr. Ben earned his medical degree (MD) in 2006 and his master’s degree in public health (MPH) in 2009. In 2017, he completed a PhD in Epidemiology at Monash University.
Dr Ben has a versatile and long-standing experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching both overseas and in Australia. He started his career as a General Practitioner in 2006 and moved to Australia in 2013, where he received a prestigious postgraduate scholarship to study at Monash University.
Dr Ben`s main interests are the control/prevention and management of infectious diseases, mental health and counselling, Drug and alcohol addiction, women’s health, musculoskeletal conditions, and chronic illnesses such as Diabetes. He enjoys communication as a major tool of medici1ne and employs the holistic approach to patient care.
Dr. Ben is also interested in improving patient care outcomes through practical primary healthcare research.
Dr Vani Peddi
Dr. Vani has been practicing for the past 11 years as GP and has attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She is passionate about providing evidence based and patient centered care. Her special areas of interests include:
- Elderly care
- Implanon insertion & removal
- Diabetes management
- Pregnancy care
- Womens’ Health
She is trilingual and fluently speaks English, Telugu and Hindi.
Dr Vaishnavi Jayasingam
Dr Jayasingam is a non VR GP who is currently in her training to attain fellowship. She has three years of Australian experience with an additional four years of hospital training in Malaysia where she grew up and graduated from. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and frequenting the gym. She speaks fluent English and Malay.
Dr Aziz Alawiye
Dr Alawiye is currently an out of hours doctor in Melbourne, working for National Home Doctor., and has extensive experience in general practice and accident emergency, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. He enjoys going to the gym and playing soccer in his spare time. He hopes to complete his fellowship whilst working in Ballarat.
Dr Nazmin Sultana
Dr Sultana has more than two years of working experience in Australia. She has worked in Latrobe Regional Hospital and Ballarat Base Hospital in different specialities. Dr Sultana graduated from Bangladesh and completed her AMC, DCH in Australia. She is interested in women’s, children’s and paediatric health, and her passion is travelling and spend time with family.
Dr Kemi Freeman
Dr Freeman has a special interest in mental health, women’s health, and chronic diseases management.
